Position Overview: As a Boutique Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our boutique behind the scenes. You will be responsible for receiving inventory, organizing merchandise on shelves, sorting items according to categories, handling billing for customers, and efficiently managing shipping orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Receive shipments of merchandise, verify contents against purchase orders, and ensure accurate entry into inventory systems.
- Shelf Organization: Arrange and maintain store displays and shelves to showcase products effectively and attractively.
- Product Sorting: Categorize merchandise based on type, size, color, and other relevant criteria to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
- Billing and Invoicing: Assist in processing customer transactions, including ringing up purchases, applying discounts or promotions, and generating invoices as necessary.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in item selection, packaging, and labeling for delivery.
- Customer Service Support: Provide support to customers regarding product inquiries, order status updates, and general inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding stock replenishment needs.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the boutique space is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail operations, inventory management, or similar roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, inventory management software).
- Physical ability to lift and move inventory, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending and lifting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Knowledge of fashion trends and products in boutique settings.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, as needed.
