Summary/Objective
The Controller position brings a big-picture strategic approach to overseeing all accounting functions of the Company. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Chemline financial statements by managing the 3-person accounting team and overseeing all accounting processes, systems, and controls. In addition to these core functions, the role is expected to bring a broad base of business and operations knowledge to contribute to our overall growth and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions

· Establish and maintain systems and internal controls that ensure the integrity of all company financial information. Ensure compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Oversee activities of the accounting department (3 direct reports) to ensure accurate and timely recording of business transactions.
· Create insightful and actionable financial information for internal decision-making purposes.
· Take a lead role in working with outside accountants for all audit and tax matters.
· Oversee day to day cash management function, working with banks and internal parties to develop and optimize our short- and long-term cash positions.
· Work on special projects as required by the business.
· Work closely with plant operations personnel to develop and enhance our internal product costing capabilities.
· Assist with acquisitions and post-deal integration as necessary.
· Own/coordinate 3rd party payroll invoices and tax reporting with payroll vendor, and back up payroll processing.
· Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
· Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Skills and Competencies
· Minimum 7-10 years relevant general and/or cost accounting experience.
· Experience in a manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
· High level of integrity, and ability to build positive relationships across the company.
· Supervisory experience a major plus; ability to create a strong and productive team environment.
· Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures in an integrated ERP environment.
· In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
· Analytical ability is critical.
· Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
· Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
· Accuracy and attention to detail.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises the accounting team, currently made up of three individuals.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. Chemline is a 5-day per week in-office operation.

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday.

Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
· 7-10 years of relevant accounting experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- CPA preferred.
- Manufacturing-related experience preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
