Position Overview | The Big Picture
The Floral Exhibits Sales Representative acquires, maintains, and builds tradeshow business relationships for the company. This role involves conducting sales calls, in-person meetings, Zoom meetings, and on-site events and visits with existing clients, as well as making personal calls and visits to potential clients to establish exclusive business relationships. The Sales Representative strives to sell Floral Exhibit and Kehoe Designs floral and plant products, custom décor styling, themes, color stories, and appropriate prop designs in both tradeshow and local settings. This position reports to and receives direction from the Operations Manager and General Manager of Floral Exhibits. The Sales Representative functions independently and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

Essential Duties | What You’ll Do - The Fun Stuff
- Maintains contacts with current clients and establishes new relationships with potential clients.
- Works sales desk and conducts floor sales at tradeshows and convention centers – travel required.
- Works with local event companies, display houses and clients on local plant/floral rentals
- Actively seeks out new business through industry networking and cold calling. Works to obtain exclusive contracts with tradeshows and/or associations.
- Gains client approval for designs, themes and stylistic concepts.
- Works towards achieving annualized sales goals.
- Works with Floral Exhibit staff and production departments to coordinate production of key elements & timelines for each event.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless tradeshow event production, design and delivery.
- Assists with delivery of orders, logistics and may supervise certain aspects of tradeshows.
- Assists with office duties including but not limited to filing, billing, writing proposals and contracts.

Qualifications | What You Need to Bring*
- 3+ years of sales experience preferably in tradeshow venues.
- Ability to travel to national tradeshows approximately 10% of the time (20 days).
- Related experience in tradeshows and convention business.
- Knowledge of tradeshows, tradeshow venues, and event venues preferred.
- Experience in event production (particularly in a creative or event décor industry) preferred.
- Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and conflict management skills.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Creative, with excellent attention to detail and good follow-up.
- Project management experience a plus.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements | What it is Like in the Office*
- Able to walk 80-100% of the work day.
- Required to move throughout tradeshow and convention centers throughout the entire show.
- Ability to work with hands and arms during the entire shift.
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach during work day.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 30-40 lbs.
