ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
Note: This position can work remotely, but new hires will be required to come to our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH for an initial 2-week in-person paid orientation and training period.
This position is required to primarily work an in person schedule, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern.
Core Description: Provides support to one or more human resources functions, including employee relations and records, compensation, benefits, engagement, leave and attendance tracking, and payroll. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs. Provides internal support and partnership to operations to deliver required human resources.
The HR Generalist:
-
Act as an ambassador of Sigma culture across the organization and play an active role in employee engagement

Provide day-to-day guidance and counseling to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
-
Support supervisors in resolving and documenting associate relations issues
-
Manages documentation and workflows to support career mobility and compensation increases
-
Manages responses and provides information for unemployment claims
-
Drives post orientation processes to support successful new hire onboarding
-
Manages offboarding process including facilitation of exit interviews to provide
-
Assists with administration of employer compensation programs
-
Organizes, manages, and maintains confidential personnel and human resources information files electronically

Administers the processes in the HRIS to facilitate onboarding, off-boarding, organizational changes and employment status changes

Support administration of performance management processes including performance improvement

Leverages HRIS for standard reporting, metrics and analytics

Participate in the development of Human Resources processes and practices

Identify new opportunities to add value to the organization and partner with colleagues on implementation of HR initiatives

Requirements:
Experience/Education/General Requirements:

Education Requirements – Associates or Bachelors Degree in related field.

Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience in an HR role
-
Experience with HRIS preferred, but not required.

Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality regarding company and employee information
-
Strong analytical and reporting skills
-
Professional demeanor-positive communication, team skills/cross functional cooperation
-
Available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.

Primarily on-site work to provide in-person employee and team support, occasional hybrid/remote work options available.

Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license and insurance

Able to pass a background check/drug test/driving record check

Computer literate – especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Authorized to work in the United States
