Job Summary
Precision Garage Door Service in Tigard, OR is looking for an Operations & HR Manager for our family-owned growing small business with 34 employees. We are a fast-paced customer service organization that provides garage door repairs and installs new garage doors in the Portland/Vancouver/Salem metro areas. This is a key position in our company, part of our senior management team, charged with running our day to day activity with our Field Operations Manager. We are looking for someone with home service or contracting industry experience, and has Operations Management, Bookeeping, HR Management, Payroll and Leadership skills. It can be a busy, fast-paced environment at times, so need to be able to "hit the gas" when necessary. We foster a culture of teamwork, integrity and a positive attitude. Sense of humor is a must!
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsiblities include:
- Hiring & Supervision of customer service representatives
- HIring & Supervision of warehouse operation
- Responsible for oversight of day-to-day operations including oversight of staff with scheduling new installations and service orders, purchasing parts, and logistics.
- Communication with field staff on daily basis by email/phone/text/in person
- Maintaining works schedules for all field staff
- Oversight of customer service- answer phones, field customer inquiries, resolve or refer problems and Provide excellent customer service to all customers
- Oversee purchasing of supplies for field and office
- Review preparation of custom quotations and bids with sales department
- Reconcile daily sales and payments, manage accounts receivable
- Payroll- payroll preparation to submit to ouside payroll service
- HR administration, onboarding, employee benefits
- Other accounting duties as needed
- Serve as part of senior managment team in operation of company
Qualifications and Skills
- 10 years of operations & office managment with progressive responsibility
- Leadership experience-ability to give direction in a clear and objective manner and to encourage and motivate team
- Prefer experience in residential home service industry (HVAC, Plumbing, Pest Control, Electrical etc)
- Knowledge of Service Titan software a plus
- Valid drivers license
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Knowledge of scheduling, delegation, problem resolution and supervisory techniques
- Microsoft Office- high level of competancy with Excel, Word, Outlook
- Skill in using mathematics to solve problems
- Customer service experience

- Ability to work independently and keep others infomed of progress
- Excellent time managment skills
- Well developed interpersonal skills and desire to continue learning
