Our growing daycare is seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to fill the role of Assistant Daycare Director of Daily Operations. This is a full-time position that requires a dynamic and dedicated individual to oversee the daily operations of our facility. The Assistant Daycare Director of Daily Operations will report directly to the owner and will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of our daycare center. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childcare regulations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the daycare center, including scheduling, staff management, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal child care regulations
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, enrollment, and financial data
- Foster positive relationships with parents, staff, and the community to promote a positive image and reputation for the daycare center
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to develop and implement age-appropriate activities and programs for children
- Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Handle any issues or concerns that may arise with children, parents, or staff in a prompt and professional manner
-Assist in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives
-This role will have the opportunity to create a professional development path towards Director of Operations with in 8 to 12 months.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a daycare or early childhood education setting
- Strong knowledge and or capacity to learn state and federal child care regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
-Excellent organizational and leadership skills
-Proficient in MS Office, and basic typing skills
-A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
-Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills required
-CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
-Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
-Must be able to problem-solve
-Ability to assist in process of hire, fire and train staff
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Director, you will educate parents, teachers, and leaders on the value of early childhood education and make that value come to life for the children in your center
Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners
Serve in various roles throughout the center as needed, including teacher and or cook if necessary.
