Eurecat provides refineries, gas processing facilities, petrochemical and chemical plants with a wide variety of catalyst processing services and products including, but not limited to: regeneration and/or reactivation of spent catalysts, pre-activation (ex-situ sulfiding) of fresh hydroprocessing catalysts, catalyst inventory management and waste management.
Position Summary:
The Process Controls Technician will repair and perform maintenance on all electrical and control equipment in the production facility. This role will serve as an on-site subject matter expert for electrical and control equipment matters; troubleshoot and assist with design improvements and process changes to improve functionality of electrical and control equipment, and programming electrical and electronic equipment and PLCs. The Process Controls Technician is expected to be in the field 50-100% of the time in order to fulfill the following job responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and electronic issues.

Lead calibration of control equipment instrumentation, while working within company guidelines

Assist with design improvements; implement changes to improve the functionality of electrical and control equipment; maintain responsibility for programming PLCs.

Identify opportunities for optimization and implement continuous improvement measures to improve production efficiencies, productivity, and overall performance.

Assist maintenance technicians with mechanical work and repair of equipment issues.

Train maintenance personnel in the proper use and maintenance of electrical instrumentation and control equipment.

Ability to operate a forklift or man-lift as needed.

Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule.

Other duties and projects as assigned.
Travel:
This position will require no travel.

Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

High school diploma and certificate/degree from instrumentation/controls technical program preferred; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.

Must have 3-5 years of previous experience working in a Process Controls capacity including PLC programming.

PLC programming knowledge specifically with Rockwell Automation.

Possess knowledge of instrumentation to successfully troubleshoot and calibrate instruments such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and temperature transmitters.

Ability to write simple correspondences.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and communication, and skills.

Willing to work overtime and work on-call as scheduled according to the Maintenance on-call schedule

Must be willing to sign Eurecat Non-compete and Eurecat Patent & Trade Secret agreement upon first day of employment.
