Job Overview:
The individual we are seeking will have excellent clinical writing skills with experience assessing individuals with mental illness diagnoses and substance abuse disorders individually as well as co-occurring. The Clinical assessor will report to the Clinical Director and work closely with the Clinical Manager to assess client needs and make recommendations on placement and clinician assignment. The Clinical Assessor needs to communicate well and be able to establish rapport with clients and other stakeholders. He/she must be sensitive to the needs of behavioral health and mental health clients. This position is part-time but can become a full-time position for the right candidate that is interested and looking to grow with our company.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments of incoming clients into services, provide diagnoses if needed and make recommendations on program placement.
- Documentation: Complete all required paperwork related to assessments, including Service Request Authorizations (SRA), Individualized Service Plans (ISP), comprehensive needs assessments and other intake paperwork as well as any additional documents deemed necessary.
- Supervision: Provide supervision sessions for QMHPs, ensuring adherence to agency standards, clinical best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Document Review: Review and sign documents completed by QMHPs under supervision.
- Team Collaboration: Attend and actively participate in clinical team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment planning and case management strategies.
- Case Staffing: Staff cases with Clinical Director and program managers to determine appropriate program, QMHP assignment and housing placement based on assessment outcomes and treatment needs.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to QMHPs, promoting professional growth and development within the team.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standards in all aspects of clinical assessment and supervision.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical assessments and documentation to maintain high standards of care and accuracy.
- Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients' needs and rights while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.

-Must be LPC, LCSW, licensed eligible or resident
- Must demonstrate superior customer service and people skills, being able to respond to the immediate needs of patients or supervisors.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills (typing 40 wpm), being able to effectively reach diverse populations and entities.
- Experience in community-based counseling & substance use
- Must possess strong clinical writing and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently in carrying out assignments while remaining reliable and dependable.
- Ability to demonstrate basic levels of computer literacy, with a functional understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems in an office setting.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of routine office hardware and equipment (e.g. printers, copiers, fax machines, etc.).
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain accurate records and preparing clear and accurate reports for informational, auditing, and operational use, including capacities for attention to detail and for reviewing and verifying accuracy of data.
- Demonstrate the competency and integrity to maintain the confidentiality of organizational, employee, and client records.
