As a Junior AP Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department by managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payment.
- Assist with monthly closing activities, including reconciliation of accounts payable.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all AP transactions.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and audits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of AP policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or invoicing.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
