Full Job Description

Job Summary:

To assist in the management and supervision of the day-to-day operation in the engineering department of the property, to ensure product quality standards are achieved and that outstanding service is provided to owners and guests according to the Chateau standards. Coordinate and supervise all contractors working within the property to ensure minimum disruption to the operations of the Chateau and that quality standards are always achieved. Manage on oversee all Reserve Replacement projects from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations of the Engineering team, Vendors, and Contractors.
Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency within the Engineering Department.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure adherence to standards.
Oversee unit remodels and make sure all contractors are following Chateau rules and procedures.
Owner and Guest Experience:
Foster an owner-first culture, ensuring all team members deliver exceptional owner satisfaction.
Handle and resolve complaints and feedback promptly and effectively.
Maintain open communication with all owners and guests.
Financial Management:
Collaborate with the Director of Finance to set the budget for the Engineering Department.
Monitor and analyze financial performance regularly and adjust strategies as needed.
Participate in forecasting and budgeting review processes, ensuring financial targets are met.
Monitor departmental expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Team Leadership:

· Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing Engineering team.

· Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

· Schedule and conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and best practices.

· Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

· Compliance and Safety:

· Oversee Safety training within the Engineering Department and hold regular safety meetings with the department.

· Oversee all mandated equipment inspections and testing to ensure all legal requirements are met. This includes but is not limited to Fire suppression systems, Building Alarm systems, and Elevators.

· Conduct regular training sessions on safety and emergency procedures.

· Collaboration:

· Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Rental Program, Accounting, and Splendido) to ensure seamless operations and exceptional owner and guest experiences.

· Participate in strategic planning and decision-making as a key member of the Chateau’s management team.

· Member of the Chateau’s Architectural Review Committee.

· Attend weekly Operations Meetings with all managers.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Property Management, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of managing high-end residential property operations and delivering exceptional owner service.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in property management systems (SMS) and other relevant property management software.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and revenue management.
Personal Attributes:
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
Passionate about providing effortless home ownership and committed to excellence above all.

Working Conditions:

This role may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift or move items as needed.
Availability to work flexible hours, including some weekends, holidays, and evenings, is essential.
This role may require on-call availability during emergencies or building system outages.
