Lead Evening Shift Auto Mechanic – Speed Vegas

Speed Vegas makes the world’s largest fleet of supercars accessible to Las Vegas tourists and locals. Guests visit us from around the world to drive today’s most exciting supercars with professional racing instruction on a private race track. The driving experience program integrates classroom education, discovery laps and on-track one-on-one coaching from a racing instructor into one comprehensive, safe and exciting driving experience

We are currently looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team as the Lead Evening Shift Auto Mechanic. This person is responsible for the superior service and effective operation of the Exotics Racing high-performance automotive shop; responsible for ensuring that Exotics Racing operates under safe conditions according to the established policies and procedures and in full compliance with federal and state regulations; works closely with associated personnel to ensure the Exotics Racing shop is organized and operating at optimal efficiency; maintains the safety and productivity of the vehicles, equipment by supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team personnel. They are also expected to develop and provide inspirational leadership and direction to a team of automotive technicians.

Requirements - 2 plus year of Automotive Technician experience is required. Lead Mechanic / Shop Foreman experience is a PLUS. Individual must be available to work a 3pm – 10:30pm shift, 5 days per week. Qualified candidates must also have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver’s License.

Essential Job Functions

· Ensure corrective maintenance is performed safely, effectively, and expeditiously in order to avoid unnecessary downtime of vehicles.

· Provide technical assistance to the automotive team throughout the repair process in both a hands-on and managerial capacity. 

· Consult with maintenance technicians throughout all phases of repairs regarding progress; maintain appropriate documentation on those communications using the computer reporting system(s).

· Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.

· Oversee (and personally comply with) the local implementation of Exotics maintenance and safety standard operating procedures in the shop.

· Oversee and participate in the work needed to implement preventive maintenance for the vehicles.

· Quality check completed jobs and assess workflow to ensure a high level of efficiency.

· Direct the activities of and provide guidance to maintenance team personnel.

· Assess training for maintenance team personnel.

· Close work orders and ensure all parts and labor are accurately charged and billed out.

· Ensure that work areas are kept clean.

· Train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of the shop personnel.

· Other duties as assigned.
