Full Job Description

Looking for a new career opportunity with an innovative, technology-driven company? eX² Technology is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill our available OSP Inspector position. As an OSP Inspector, you will work with the crews in the field to gather data about what was constructed in the field each day to ensure conformance with the plans as well as specifications, and other applicable manuals.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

Responsible for escalating deficiencies to the assigned Project Manager
Must bring a strong, verifiable track record of inspecting, installing or maintaining and OSP fiber design network infrastructure
Use Arc Field Maps to collect the data via cell phone
Coordinates directly with contractors and other field inspection staff to ensure all project activities are monitored
Maintains daily project log and keeps various project records/reports
Ensures materials delivered to project site meet specifications and are placed in accordance with standard specification

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate should have six (6) years of OSP or construction industry experience. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is desired. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of Arc Field Maps a plus
Knowledge of electronics and electrical wiring theory, principles and practices
Knowledge of electronic and electrical safety standards and National Electric Code
Knowledge of copper and fiber optic installation standards and best practices for outside plant applications
Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering and construction drawings and specifications, technical equipment installation manuals and other documents
