Full Job Description

Everest Formulations is a turnkey dietary supplement manufacturing company. We are looking for experienced machine operators within the dietary manufacturing industry. A Picking Specialist at Everest Formulations is responsible for ensuring materials in the warehouse and on work orders are accurately allocated in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Examples of material are, but not limited to, powders, liquids, capsules, amino acids, vitamins, allergens, botanicals, etc.

Essential Job Duties

Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Coordinate with Project Coordinators, and Production Scheduler on accurately allocating materials for each work order.
Verify warehouse inventory to ensure quantity and description of items to be allocated match what is indicated on the shipper label and work order.
Picking and palletizing materials based on work order pick list instructions with a pallet jack or forklift, as needed
Report any damages or defects not in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to supervisor / quality team.
Communicate effectively with each department on the material allocation accuracy.
Material allocation must be completed in timely manner to prevent production delays.
Ensure materials allocation is accurate to prevent cross contamination or using incorrect materials.
Ensure materials allocation quantity is accurate to prevent any production issues, missed deadlines, etc.
Practice FEFO (First Expired First Out) when allocating materials
Partner with the Disposition department to resolve discrepancies / issues with materials
Exhibit courtesy, patience, and technical competency when working directly with customers.
Provide technical training and guidance to other employees when necessary.
Make continuous improvement in the execution of all tasks described above.
Understand Project Coordinator process to facilitate materials allocation duty.
Must be able to work with and understand our ERP (IQMS) system to allocate materials.

Selection Guidelines

The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate; and
Forklift experience is required
One (1) or more years of work experience in related job function; or
Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successful perform the job.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during course of work shift.
Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, and reach, in the performance of job function.
Requires the essential use of hands, speech and hearing.
Lifting limitations for this position: 25-50 lbs.
Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
The employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Noise level for this work environment is moderate to high (may require the use of ear-plugs when performing duties in specific production areas).
