Job Title: Procurement Specialist (Onsite)

Shift Options: 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist with a strong background in procurement processes and systems to support our Mill operations. The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing purchase orders, writing scopes of work (SOWs), vendor management, contract negotiations, and financial accruals. Experience with Coupa systems is required, and SAP systems experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter requisitions on behalf of the mill support team for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), services, capital equipment, and operating supplies.
- Collaborate with the Mill Stores team to transport parts and equipment to their final locations within the Mill.
- Secure and manage parts staging areas in the mill, staging parts for capital projects.
- Reconcile bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure all parts are received prior to installation.
- Work with procurement personnel to expedite parts, find alternatives, submit invoices, and resolve service issues.
- Ensure contractors are approved in the ISN system and assist with any pre-arrival issues.
- Conduct contractor safety orientations before the start of new jobs.
- Vet suppliers by category following procurement processes to ensure supply continuity at the Mill level.
- Generate daily reports of parts pulled from Stores to ensure warranties are executed.
- Assist with contractor evaluations post-completion of jobs.
- Complete monthly capital project Project Spend Reports (PSRs) for forecasting and budgeting.
- Collaborate with the Mill Finance Manager to forecast monthly expense spending.
- Implement Mill cost controls to ensure cost center owners approve spend before requisitioning.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong background in Procurement/Purchasing, preferably within a Mill environment.
- Experience working with contractor services (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, engineering).
- Proficient in writing scopes of work (SOW).
- Understanding of various purchase contract types (T&M, Fixed Cost, GMax, Cost+) and appropriate usage.
- Ability to read and validate bills of materials (BOMs).
- Experience resolving issues with vendor front offices (safety training, invoicing, quality of services).
- Required: Coupa systems experience.
- Highly Preferred: SAP systems experience.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse Mill functions (engineering, maintenance, operations).
- Ability to work with corporate functions (US and International).
- Basic understanding of finance principles (authorized, committed, spent, NPV, ROI).

Pay: $31.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
