About the Role
As an Area Manager (AM) you are a high-performing General Manager (GM) that is ready to learn the skills of multi-unit management. You play a critical role in creating an engaging and successful culture in your designated location while also assisting the District Manager (DM) in the oversight of daily operations for multiple locations.
Considered a leader amongst your peers and an expert on Sky Zone culture, values, standards, and procedures, you partner with other park managers and employees to help them understand and execute the daily activities that lead to park success in the areas of operations, membership sales, and events. Under the supervision of the District Manager, you’ll often provide parks with additional operations support while also learning the big picture of how to lead through influence, so managers and employees are empowered to be successful.
Oversight and management of daily park operations across all departments.
Hiring, training, and developing AGM’s and Crew Members.
Managing park expenses and inventory according to Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
Driving the achievement of park revenue goals in the areas of membership sales, birthday parties, and special events.
Developing and cultivating positive relationships within the local community for marketing and hiring purposes.
Ensuring the park and its attractions are safe and clean for our members, guests, and employees.
Effectively partner with other GM’s and corporate teams for various needs/goals including Guest Services, Facilities, Marketing, People & Culture, etc.
Ensuring that all members and guests are provided with an exceptional experience full of memorable moments!
Multi-unit responsibilities include:
Providing additional daily operations support and oversight to a minimum of 3 park locations and a maximum of 6 based on individual qualifications, professional development, and district needs.
Assisting in the hiring, training, and development of crew members and managers as needed.
Under the supervision and guidance of the District Manager, serving as an additional resource to provide training and expertise on building guest loyalty, team staffing and management, park operations and safety, and company policies and procedures.
Providing feedback to the District Manager regarding any park challenges and opportunities; work hand-in-hand with the DM on any formal action plans and their execution.
Area Manager will be the district point person when the DM in unavailable and will be included in all DM meetings and communications.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to travel 20-50% within assigned area.
3-5 years of general management experience required.
Demonstrated success in –
Meeting or exceeding KPI’s in customer service, sales, events, and/or other measurable goals related to your industry.
Driving and managing a business that earns $2.5M or more in annual revenue.
Experience leading teams that include various levels of leadership from Supervisors to Assistant General Managers.
Management experience in a related, high customer volume, industry required. This includes entertainment, amusement/theme parks, restaurants, fitness, retail, etc.
Ability to set clear direction, inspire performance, deliver timely feedback, hold others accountable, and celebrate success.
Values-driven leadership approach, strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
Minimum High School or GED; college degree preferred.
Ability to travel locally and, potentially, to other states 20-50% based on district needs and preferably relocatable.
Ability to work weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business.
Must have full leadership team and staff in their home park.
Compensation: $ $87-100k + bonus and is based on qualifications, experience, and performance. Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k with company match.
