Responsible for planning, developing and presenting required employee training and other administrative duties.

Job Duties:
Staff Development
- Identifies training needs and assists in the development of training and OJT.
- Performs on the job training with Residential and Day Services to become proficient in staff development needs.
- Assists with training programs via E-training as practical and applicable that will help develop staff, i.e. recertification, training needs identified from Safety Meetings, etc.
- Implement THERAP when developing training or training that has been developed for both Residential and Day Programs.
- Facilitate on-site strategic training sessions at programs as needs are identified.
- Perform training for MaxAbilities new hires/current employees and maintain instructor certifications obtained.
- Monitor staff development sessions periodically to ensure curriculum integrity is upheld by instructors.
- Monitor’s staff training and suspend provide documentation to supervision when training is non-compliant.
- Ensure training room is organized and materials ready for instructors each day.
- Initiate and document the new hire evaluation process and ensure information is provided to supervision along with the OJT checklist.
- Maintain training data base and employee training records according to Agency and regulatory standards.
- Provide timely notification of training needs to employees & managers and QA to ensure accountability is maintained.
- Maintain training video library
- Filing training records as needed.
Minimum Training and Experience:
BS in a Human Services field and two years experience in Day or Residential programs with experience training staff (preferred) OR five years of progressively responsible experience in direct service provision (day and/or residential) with experience in training staff.
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Position requires occasional lifting, stooping, bending, standing, sitting, and some driving. Position may involve lifting 20-25 pounds occasionally.
Simple grasping and repetitive motion will be required several times per day. Position requires occasional reaching overhead, twisting, squatting, bending and stooping, Table Setup/Dismantling.
Equipment Used on the Job: Telephone, Copier, Fax Machine, Laptops to access Computer Programs: Examples; Power Point, Crystal Reports/Databases, Projection Equipment, Laminating Machine, CPR Manikins, Manuals, DVD’s, etc.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
