POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify potential new market opportunities, assess their viability, and provide insights to guide strategic decision-making. Work directly impacts the company's growth trajectory and competitive positioning in the fiber industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential new markets for fiber network expansion. This includes analyzing demographic data, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and infrastructure availability.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze large datasets related to market trends, customer preferences, demand forecasts, and financial projections. Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to extract actionable insights.
- Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate the feasibility of entering new markets based on the analysis of key metrics such as projected return on investment (ROI), market penetration potential, and risk assessment. Develop models and scenarios to assess various expansion strategies.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors' activities and market positioning to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Benchmark our performance against industry standards and best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineering, finance, marketing, and legal departments to align market expansion initiatives with overall business objectives. Provide data-driven recommendations and support strategic decision-making processes.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Communicate complex data analysis results in a clear and concise manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and market intelligence. Identify opportunities to enhance data collection methods, analytical tools, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making.
JOB EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's) preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in data analysis, market research, or business intelligence role, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software and spatial analysis techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and market dynamics is advantageous.
