JF Heritage Food Company, a subsidiary of The Fikes Companies, is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time position that supports the HR needs of the organization including recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, and performance management. The HR Specialist collaborates with the Director of Human Resources to ensure that HR policies and procedures align with the goals of the organization and comply with relevant regulations.

General Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
· Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
· Sources and screens candidates, conducts interviews, and facilitates hiring process.
· Coordinates new employee onboarding, including orientation.
Employee Relations:
· Serves as point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
· Investigates and resolves employee relations issues, including conflicts and grievances.
Performance Management:
· Provides guidance to managers on performance management best practices.
· Identifies opportunities for employee development and career advancement.
Compliance:
· Ensures compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
· Maintains accurate employee records and HR documentation.
· Keeps abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations.
HR Administration:
· Processes employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
· Processes all unemployment claims.
Qualifications:
3+ years in a similar role (preferably in a production or manufacturing environment), knowledge of employment laws and regulations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills, must have intermediate skills in MS Office Suite and HRIS, outstanding discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
