We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Production Manager to oversee our Bakery production operations. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen, maintaining quality control, and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery production, principles and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Duties required but not limited to:
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food/bakery preparation, cake cutting, icing, decorating, etc.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen processes
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure adequate stock
- Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain high standards of food quality
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Oversee production planning to meet customer demands while minimizing waste
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs
- Implement process improvement initiatives to streamline operations
- Utilize systems to manage inventory levels effectively
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Production Manager or similar role in a fast-paced volume environment
- Must have bakery/cake/dessert experience
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and food safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in inventory management
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes accordingly
