Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients to the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update medical information in electronic health record systems (Dentrix)
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing and payment processing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a must
- Familiarity with dental office is a plus
- Proficiency in operating phone systems and handling multiple calls simultaneously
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems (Dentrix) is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and external contacts
