The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial transactions related to our vendors and suppliers. This role requires a detailed-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the company. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and vendor management.
Post disbursement details from third parties for all medical and dental payments.
Post loan payment disbursements.
Ensure timely completion of data entry for compliance with sales and use tax filings.
Reconcile credit card accounts.
Reconcile accounts payable clearing account.
Ensure accuracy of postings to class codes and GL accounts for accounts payable transactions.
Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Lead, train, and manage accounts payable staff, ensuring a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and job satisfaction.
Conduct regular audits of payable activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the procurement and project management teams to ensure seamless transactions and resolve any discrepancies in invoices or payments.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for accounts payable, including the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable.
Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and monitor ongoing contracts and agreements.
Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records, ensuring all financial documentation is stored in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Liaise with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations regarding accounts payable processes and transactions.
Handle workers compensation and disability audits.
Continuously assess and improve accounts payable processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and accounts payable processes.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
Experience in the construction or landscape industry is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
