Responsibilities:
-
Review and manage pre-hire driver qualification files, including background checks and employment verification.
-
Conduct new driver orientation sessions to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain meticulous records and manage Driver Qualification (DQ) files in accordance with FMCSA guidelines.

Manage driver profiles in LME and Samsara tracking systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Monitor and track driver hours of service to guarantee compliance with regulatory mandates.

Provide coaching, training, and oversight of driver safety events, and behaviors while documenting disciplinary actions when necessary.

Utilize Samsara camera and tractor telematics data to proactively monitor driver safety.

Manage assignments and configurations of Samsara devices across the fleet.

Supervise the random drug screening program to ensure regulatory compliance.

Conduct both initial and ongoing driver safety training; utilizing both remote and in-person formats.
- Collaborate on departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing Safety & FMCSA Compliance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation compliance, showcasing a robust grasp of industry regulations and standards.

Extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, particularly those of driver qualification, hours of service, and safety protocols.

Possess a deadline-driven mentality with exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.

Prior experience with fleet management and tracking software systems, such as LME and Samsara.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with advanced computer skills (including typing) to manage data and communication effectively.

Ability to make independent decisions within the job parameters, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking capabilities.

A self-starter mindset, capable of taking proactive measures and working autonomously to accomplish tasks and address compliance-related issues.
