A Day in the Life of a Claims Processor:
- Adjudicating claims according to policy and contract requirements. Additional information may be requested as necessary by completing claim adjustments, referencing the benefits policy manual and other resources provided.
- Additional information may be requested by making phone calls, sending emails, or generating letters to our constituents.
- Determining customer claims resolutions within prescribed guidelines for the purpose of meeting contract requirements.
- Researching, problem solving, and when necessary, referring complex issues to the appropriate department.
- Additionally, will have the opportunity to help by taking phone calls from our constituents, providing best-in-class, first call resolution customer service.
- Ongoing training on multiple software applications – there will always be something new and exciting to embrace and learn.
- Job performance is measured by meeting guaranteed claims turnaround time, individual productivity, quality, and accuracy of work completed.
- Continuously evaluating and identifying opportunities to drive process improvement in functions that impact the customers’ experience.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment.
· Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
· Proficiency in MS Office and virtual communication tools such as a cloud-based contact communication system, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar
· Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and assignments
· Ability to utilize various technology platforms for effective communication, problem solving, and relaying information to constituents.
· Ability to understand and become knowledgeable of policies and procedures related to the release of information and HIPAA regulations.
· Ability to analyze information and make independent decisions
· Ability to work independently or as a part of team to achieve assigned tasks
· Strong attention to detail and drive for accuracy required
· Strong computer skills and knowledge required
· Must reside in one of the following states: Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, or South Dakota.
· Regular and predictable attendance
