Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Be a subject matter expert and hosting educational seminars, both in-person and virtual
- Build and maintain relationships with key members of the project team, including owners, owner representatives, architects, construction managers, consultants, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors
- Use Insight/Construct connect and or other project search engines in order to provide product substitution requests
- Responsible for follow up and the eventual internal & external hand off of the substitution requests
- Be a subject matter expert on the reading and or interpreting construction documents; assist with the development of project specific detail drawings; analyze competitors’ specifications and determine the best alternative solutions
- Lead, manage and or facilitate the interface with Soprema’s internal field and inside tech teams
- Manage, review and or assist in the preparation and follow up of submittal packages
- Utilize strong influencing and sales skills to drive the placement of materials in specifications
- Perform in a team environment with other members of Soprema Group
- Coordinate and present Soprema products to architects, consultants, and contractors
- Actively engage in industry associations, including but not limited to AIA, BOMA,CSI and IBEC
- Identify and target specifiers through substitution requests and or organic efforts for basis of design and or spec positions
- Log activities, follow up, prospects, projects, tasks, and track the status of revenue and non revenue sales opportunities using Salesforce
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of three years’ experience in similar architectural/specifier related role
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
- Manage multiple projects with varying scopes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Proven time management skills
- Willing to travel (when needed); Will vary depending on location within an assigned region
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience
- Flexible work schedule; able to travel on evenings and weekends when necessary for sales meetings/trade shows
- Ability to work from home office
