Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable front desk receptionist to join our team and oversee day-to-day tasks in our commercial building located in the Fashion District of downtown LA, which has multiple tenants. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in building management, possess basic computer skills, and be proactive in attracting new tenants while ensuring the property's smooth operation.
Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and promptly address maintenance needs to ensure the safety and comfort of tenants.
Computer Tasks: Utilize basic computer skills to manage tenant information, maintain records, and communicate effectively via email.
Online Advertising: Create and post attractive advertisements online daily to attract potential tenants for available spaces in the building.
Tenant Relations: Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective tenants, addressing inquiries promptly, and actively trying to rent out vacant spaces.
Emergency Handling: Be available to respond to emergency maintenance situations, such as leaks, power outages, or other urgent issues, and take appropriate action to resolve them quickly.
Rent Collection: Coordinate with property management to collect rent and handle invoicing for tenants, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Building Security: Open and close the building early in the morning and late at night to maintain security and proper access control.
Order Supplies and Maintain Inventory Log: Take charge of ordering necessary supplies, ensuring the building is well-stocked at all times. Keep a detailed inventory log to track usage and availability.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in a building maintenance role is required.
Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer tasks such as email communication, record-keeping, and online advertising platforms. Excel and quick books
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Time Management: Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Customer Service: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with tenants and potential clients.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred, as occasional travel may be necessary for supply purchases or tenant-related tasks.
