Job Description:
Paradigm is seeking an Electrical Engineer with (5-15) years of experience in electrical engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers and architects to design the electrical systems for buildings primarily at VA Medical Centers throughout the United States Coast to Coast and beyond to VA facilities off coast, in addition to design for other federal and private project work. The ideal candidate has federal healthcare facility electrical experience, is willing to travel to other states when needed for site investigations and construction observations, is self-motivated, has excellent communication both written and verbal skills, is proficient in Auto-Cad or Revit and Windows software as well as electrical design software. This person must be able to design and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Experience:
- 5-15 plus years of experience as an electrical engineer (Federal Healthcare Preferred but not necessary)
- PE license required in any US state (Federal Govt. required no specific license in a state worked in, only a single license in a single state regardless of location.
- Project Management Experience desired.
- Interfacing with clients (VA Medical Centers) to confirm project progress.
- AutoCAD or Revit
- Windows software
- Stamping and signing all electrical work within the company.
The position is responsible for managing projects, designing, drawing, controlling the budget, and being involved in the design of the electrical design of VA Medical Centers throughout the United States. Additional duties of the position are as follows:
- Read and interpret blueprints and as-built drawings.
- Attend meetings and project confidence with clients Virtually & Sometimes on site.
- Provide guidance and leadership to staff engineers as to the appropriate HVAC solutions on projects in various stages of design.
- Review submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
- Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
- Coordinate with other engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals specification, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, apply knowledge of engineering principles.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
- Proficient in editing federal health care specifications & ability to learn government specs.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
